I’ve just this morning returned from a week at a conference and visiting family – so many noisy cups of coffee.

    Thanks for this.

“Things in themselves, Myself being myself” – I am unfamilier with Woolf’s poetry, but it brings to my mind Kant’s philospophical idea of noumena (things in themselves “reality”) and phenomena (things as they appear to the senses “perception”).

As Kant would argue we can never know the ‘things in themselves’, only being able to perceive the world around us through our senses, is Woolf hinting here to the idea that solitary and internal self reflection is perhaps the closest we can get to ‘knowing’ ourselves or our true self, and therefore why it is then considered to be so much better, than say, relying on others perceptions or indeed our own?

reading v woolf quote does not suprise me that she done herself in,it seems bleak,as does the quote of 6 steps to creativity seem bleak

    It’s a good poem.
That reminds me of the fact “man die alone”.

Lines of self introspection. “Myself being Myself”. Suits best for an introvert.

Solitude….. No matter how,…..feeds the soul of introverts.
